Office: Representative Erika Geiss

Description: This is a full-time position for the office of Representative Erika Geiss. The position requires the individual to perform administrative, reception and constituent services duties, coordinate the Representative’s schedule, draft, edit, and track correspondence, and maintain the office email inbox and filing system.  Other responsibilities include overseeing legislative tribute crafting, managing constituent casework with state agencies, and helping plan district coffee hours and town halls. Assistance in social media, research, and special projects is sometimes required.  Some travel to the district will be required, including for attending in-district community events and meetings as necessary.

Salary Range: $28,000 - $31,000

Minimum Qualifications: The applicant must be professional, resourceful, and possess strong organizational, written and oral communication skills in order to effectively support the Representative.  Excellent phone and interpersonal skills are a must.  A Bachelors degree in business administration or political science is preferred.  Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Applicant must also be independent and self-motivated, assuming responsibility without direct supervision or direction.  Prior experience with the legislative process is desired, but not necessary.
