Description: The Michigan House of Representatives is currently looking to fill a part-time paid internship.  We are seeking a responsible and professional individual to assist the House Committee Clerks with preparations for committee meetings and room reset afterward.  The selected candidate will also be expected to assist with the delivery of interdepartmental mail to specified offices, as well as assisting other support staff with reception desk duties, mailings and other office tasks.  The selected candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Salary Range: $10.50 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a student, veteran, or participant in job entry program.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old, dependable and capable of making deliveries and pickups in all types of weather conditions.  Position requires professional telephone and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with all types of people.  Applicants should have a writing sample and references available upon request.  Knowledge of the Legislature is desired but not required.
