Office: Rep. MacGregor
Description: The office of State Representative Peter MacGregor - 73rd District is currently looking to fill several internship positions for the 2011-2012 fall & winter semesters. Interns will be expected to provide assistance to the Representative and members of their staff ranging in the areas of legislation, communications, constituent affairs, general office management and miscellaneous tasks. Some responsibilities will include answering phones, monitoring legislation, research and written correspondence to groups and individuals within the district. Students will gain valuable hands-on legislative office experience in a fast-paced environment. Hours are flexible. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator)Minimum Qualifications: Previous office experience and knowledge of the Legislature and legislative process is a plus but not required. Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Punctual, prompt individual with excellent telephone, written communication skills, positive attitude and personal integrity preferred.
