Office: Representative Rob VerHeulen
Description: An intern would be expected to provide assistance to Representative VerHeulen and members the office, specifically in the areas of legislative research, public policy, and miscellaneous tasks. Some responsibilities will include attending committee hearing and workgroups, drafting policy memos on current bills, and writing correspondence to groups and individuals within the 74th District. Students will gain valuable hands-on office experience in a fast-paced environment. Hours are negotiable.
Salary Range: Possible School Credit (if applicable.)
Minimum Qualifications: Previous office experience, letter writing skills and knowledge of the Legislature and the legislative process is a plus but not required. Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Excellent written communication skills and a positive attitude preferred.
