Republican Legislative Intern
General Description

The Lansing office of State Representative Hugh Crawford is seeking to fill internship openings for the 2009 spring, summer and fall semesters.  Intern duties will include, but are not limited to handling constituent cases, answering phones, legislative research, letter and tribute writing, general office management and miscellaneous tasks.  Students will gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.  Hours are negotiable, but 10-24 hours per week is preferred.

 
Salary Range

This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator.)

 
Minimum Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work efficiently and independently.  Basic computer skills are required, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
